The child Moataz T. was severely malnourished and was suffering from lack of growth hormone and malabsorption, which required him to be injected with costly growth hormone injections, and to have special diet.

Moataz was born in a poor family in the besieged Eastern Ghouta. He is 16 years old, but appears to be only 12 years old because of the illness he is suffering. For his part, his father struggled in order for Moataz to get the growth hormone, but the price was very high and the father was often unable to secure it.

As a result, Moataz’s health deteriorated significantly until Al- Sham Humanitarian Foundation (AHF) learned of his condition so the work team rushed to register the child in the sponsorship section pertaining to Taadud Project.

Thanks to Allah, a sum of money was provided to him on August 20, 2017, which would cover the costs of the treatment of Moataz, especially the price of the hormonal injections, as well as the provision of appropriate food. Moataz’ situation has improved significantly over time, yet he is still being treated so far.

Helping Brother Mohammed and his Family

In fact, Mohammad’s leg was amputated following an air strike targeting the market he was working in. His health deteriorated considerably due to his bad material conditions, especially after his absence from work.

Brother Mohammad, a resident of the Eastern Ghouta, married and a father of a small child, was working in a small booth in the market, where he used to sell biscuits. The air raid, which targeted the place, resulted in a serious injury to him which led to his leg being amputated, in addition to several wounds throughout his body. Therefore, his health considerably deteriorated during his lengthy treatment, to fall under poverty and need.

Thanks to Allah Almighty, Al- Sham Humanitarian Foundation learned about the condition of Brother Mohammad and therefore provided him with a financial sum which he received on 14 May 2017, which enabled him to continue his treatment and cover his health and daily expenses. Furthermore, AHF has undertaken to have a special artificial limb processed and fitted to him, so that he may return to walk on his feet without the need for crutches, to make his life much better than before.
