They eat food that is not like food, so many thousands having forgotten the taste of meat.<\/p>\n<p>As slaughtering sheep on Eid Al-Adha is required of the financially well-to-do, the less fortunate should be allowed to take part in the feast. Our people within Syria need the meat like nobody else. Al-Sham Humanitarian foundation has launched the \u201cCattle\u201d Project to distribute meat through the Foundation\u2019s centers in Aleppo, Idled, Hama, Lattakia, Deraa, Damascus, Damascus Countryside, and Homs.<\/p>\n<p>This situation has led to a deterioration in the living and health conditions. The lack of security and stability, in general, has in turn led to an increase in the poverty rate among the people. In addition to that, the siege imposed on many regions has caused prices to soar high. Little attention is given by those who enforce the siege to the well-being of children, women, and the elderly \u2013 particularly in the events that are supposed to put smiles on their faces such as Eir Al-Fitr and Al-Adha. \u00a0Hence the importance of this project that aims to achieve a number of goals, including:<\/p>\n<p>-Relieving the suffering of people during Eid Al-Adha<\/p>\n<p>-Performing the religious duty during Eid Al-Adha<\/p>\n<p>-Contributing to the enhancement of food security<\/p>\n<p>The Project has achieved good results, and the majority of the beneficiaries are, for the most part, needy families identified in the following categories:<\/p>\n<p>-The poorest families<\/p>\n<p>-Displaced families<\/p>\n<p>-Families of orphans and widows<\/p>\n<p>-Families of martyrs and detainees<\/p>\n<p>-Families with special needs (disabled)<\/p>\n<p>Undoubtedly, undertaking such projects strengthen the vulnerable by providing them with the assistance they need most, thus contributing to creating a harmonious society where the strong support the less fortunate.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ever since the beginning of the crisis in Syria, hundreds of thousands of people have lived on the sidelines of life.
