{"id":7624,"date":"2017-06-13T15:47:13","date_gmt":"2017-06-13T12:47:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alshamfoundation.com\/?p=7624"},"modified":"2026-03-17T02:02:10","modified_gmt":"2026-03-16T23:02:10","slug":"water-supply-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ahf.ngo\/en\/2017\/06\/13\/water-supply-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Water Supply Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"fusion-converted-row\" style=\"display:flex;flex-wrap:wrap;gap:20px;\">\nThe cruel crisis the Syrian people have been suffering from for years has made scarce the most important element for survival &#8211; water.<\/p>\n<p>This has been made possible because of the long infrastructure bombardment and the pollution of the water sources, which in turn caused several diseases.<\/p>\n<p>This prompted Al-Sham Humanitarian Foundation to establish a &#8220;water tank&#8221; project, after a comprehensive study that included areas of proliferation, delivery methods, distribution, obstacles, benefits and targets.<\/p>\n<p>Rehabilitation and operating pre-existing water stations in Hama, Aleppo, and Idlib, south of Damascus and Daraa have been put in place. Local councils have been enabled to follow up on matters related to data regulation, water distribution and wages of station workers.<\/p>\n<p>The project aimed at several fundamental objectives, which sought to find possible alternatives:<\/p>\n<p>-Secure drinking water<\/p>\n<p>-Increase per capita water supply<\/p>\n<p>-Contribute to raising the level of water security<\/p>\n<p>The project was able to achieve good results.
