{"id":7689,"date":"2017-06-16T11:35:09","date_gmt":"2017-06-16T08:35:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alshamfoundation.com\/?p=7689"},"modified":"2026-03-17T02:02:13","modified_gmt":"2026-03-16T23:02:13","slug":"project-of-hygiene-baskets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ahf.ngo\/en\/2017\/06\/16\/project-of-hygiene-baskets\/","title":{"rendered":"Project of Hygiene Baskets"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"fusion-converted-row\" style=\"display:flex;flex-wrap:wrap;gap:20px;\">\nThe displaced Syrians face another problem manifested in the spread of communicable and infectious diseases within Syria, especially the besieged and the poverty-stricken areas.<\/p>\n<p>The Al-Sham Humanitarian Foundation has been alerted to the need to combat these conditions and has initiated the establishment of a &#8220;Hygiene Baskets&#8221; project, where baskets containing 15 items of personal hygiene items sufficient for a family of five for a full month are distributed throughout the year in most areas of the Syrian interior (Aleppo, Idlib, Lattakia countryside, Daraa, Damascus, Damascus countryside, Homs).<\/p>\n<p>This project contributes to:<\/p>\n<p>-Improving personal hygiene of poor families in the besieged areas<\/p>\n<p>-Maintaining public health in areas suffering from a lack of health care and clean water<\/p>\n<p>In the first half of the year, approximately 49,500 people had benefited from the project:<\/p>\n<p>-Poor families in besieged areas<\/p>\n<p>-Displaced families<\/p>\n<p>-Families of orphans and widows<\/p>\n<p>-Families of martyrs and detainees<\/p>\n<p>-Families with special needs (disabled)<\/p>\n<p>This project preserves the safety of the Syrian people from infectious diseases.
