The unjust siege has created a whole community of broken children, withered and hungry, who wait for their parents to come back with morsels of bread to silence the cries of their stomachs. Furthermore, they need a sense of home, safety, and decent life.
In order to alleviate the tragedy of this recurrent scene, Al-Sham Humanitarian Foundation has launched the Charity Kitchen project, where hot meals are prepared and distributed to needy families in the besieged towns (Aleppo, Damascus, Damascus Countryside, Homs).
The project was a quick and urgent solution to the current formidable conditions – low level of food security, severe unemployment, soaring prices. The project aims to help people of the following categories:
-The poorest families
-Displaced families
-Families of orphans and widows
-Families of martyrs and detainees
-Families with special needs (disabled) and injured.
Such charitable projects are among the priorities of Al-Sham Humanitarian Foundation, which seeks to secure the needs of stricken families, fleeing from the hell of bombardment.
