When he met with the members of Al- Sham Humanitarian Foundation (AHF), Mr. Bashir had already had his left foot amputated and was injured in the right eye. He was in dire need of treatment, but his financial status was so bad. His children were still young and have no breadwinner but Allah, Glory be to Him.
Bashir is a resident of the besieged eastern Ghouta, married with four children. He was severely injured by a missile fired by an aircraft while he was returning from the market. As a result, his left foot was amputated and he was wounded in the right eye, thus becoming incapacitated. Since then, Bashir has been unable to walk without a crutch.
Over time, Mr. Bashir’s situation worsened until he became unable to secure his daily food and meet the needs of his family. He led this miserable life until AHF reached him, and so he was registered in the sponsorship project and was granted a sum of money, which allowed him to secure the necessary food and medicines. He then was able to buy all that he and his young children needed. Meanwhile, an artificial limb was prepared and fitted for Bashir, which gave him hope for life after he became a victim of despair because of his inability, and eventually Brother Bashir got rid of the crutch and was able to walk again.
Adib Family
Adib was imprisoned by the Syrian regime for more than three years. His wife is dead, so his five young children have no breadwinner so they lived with their aunt in very poor financial conditions.
In fact, the regime arrested Mr. Adib, a 45-year-old person living in the besieged al-Ghouta, while going to work, leaving his children and his wife alone in the face of harsh living conditions. As the days went by, the family’s supplies and money ran out and they fell prey to poverty. This situation prompted the mother to go out on a quest to provide food for her children.
But God will that his wife be martyred by a shell that fell near her. Her poor children became orphans of both the father and the mother, and began to suffer from mobility between their relatives. Eventually, the children were forced to live with their aunt whose financial situation was very miserable. The children were able to survive thanks to some help from good people, but such help did not cover their needs, so they could not go to school.
In this context, AHF undertook to sponsor the family of Mr. Adib by providing a sum of money that would alleviate their suffering, improve their living conditions and take them out of their situation. Indeed, food and children’s needs were provided, thus introducing joy into their hearts and easing the pressure on their aunt. Furthermore, the children were able to return to school and acquire the educational materials, so that their condition would be better and their hope would be greater in the future.
